L’expérience rafting

Haut-Giffre

Le Giffre, rivière de Haute-Savoie, prend sa source dans le Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval, merveille naturelle de notre vallée. Il serpente à travers les villages et est un fabuleux moyen de se déplacer. Embarquez dans ce bateau à 8 places dirigé par un guide diplômé (promis ils sont compétents) et préparez-vous à découvrir un cadre naturel grandiose !

Le départ se fera de notre base à Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval. Un embarquement privé vous attend, pas mal non ? Après vous être équipé et après avoir participé au briefing sur les consignes de sécurité, on vous laisse partir. Accompagné, bien évidemment. On a le devoir de vous ramener tout de même.

White-water rafting in Samoëns on the Giffre river in the Mont Blanc region, a magnificent surrounding landascape in the French Alps mountains.

White-water rafting is an activity, which is practiced on an unsinkable auto-bouncer boat, designed for the running water. A rafting session allows an approach of the river in team under the directives of a guide who will make you maneuver in the rapids for a maximum of sensations and adrenaline !

White-water rafting is a great sport if you want to share a beautiful and funny aquatic stroll or even a sensational descent on the Giffre river. We welcome families, friends, couples and single persons ! We adapt ourselves to your desires !

This is above all a friendly team spirit: so, the sturdiest at the back, the more relaxed in the middle and the most fearless at the front, which allows everyone to enjoy the rafting adventure and to live the true river emotions.

We propose the descent of the Giffre, the river located in our Giffre Valley, but we also offer the descent on la Dranse or even l’Arve.

The mini rafting descent is a bit short but is adapted to everyone (children and disabled people). The descent starts from the upstream at the Perret bridge after the Tines Gorges, goes beside the Samoëns plains and goes through its fiery rapids to end its journey right after the Giffre bridge in Samoëns where our driver will pick you up there to bring you back up to our rafting base in Sixt Fer à Cheval.

The Giffre river starts in the Cirque du Fer à Cheval and its white-water goes through Samoëns. The departure point is at our Nunayak base in Sixt-fer à Cheval. You will have a kilometer to be more comfortable with the team you will be part of and with the river itself before jumping in the running water of the Tines Gorges. Then, you will cross the plains before arriving in Samoëns where our driver will pick you up to bring you back up to the base of Sixt Fer à Cheval.

Rafting Haute Savoie on the Giffre

The Giffre River is located in the Haute-Savoie Region and more precisely in the Samoëns Valley. It takes its sources in the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval (classified « national park » as a natural reserve). The Giffre River flows in the very heart of an exceptional Valley that is surrounded by an incredible ancient geology.

You’ll get to know the Tines Gorges, which are a 40-meter deep canyon in which only rafting and other white-water sports can access this spot.

So, let’s get started with Nunayak !

1 – Please arrive 15 min before the activity starts at our rafting base at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval

2 – Our guides will equip you and make a little briefing before going out

3 – You’ll then be able to go on the river for an unforgetable moment !

4 – Our Nunabus will pick you back up to our base

5 – Our guides will collect the equipment that was given to you

6 – Why not drinking a cold beverage at Nunabar after your session?
