"Climb and contemplate"
Via ferrata rates in Haute-Savoie
The via des Monts starts with an easy and ascending path, along the cliff.
You quickly arrive on a grassy platform called “la vire de l’ours” at the foot of a cave.
You then climb on a spur, then you continue vertically for about ten meters towards “the passage of the barme aux Corbes”. You arrive on a small grassy platform. From there, you continue on the cliff and go on a crossing joining an overhang “the slab of the lazy”. There is, if necessary, a first escape route to the downhill path.
You continue by a very beautiful crossing slightly ascending and very gaseous “la Becque”.
You then go down slightly across, around an aerial rocky spur that gives access to the “Ou Izès footbridge” of about fifteen meters that allows you to cross a large fault in the wall.
Continue on a steep, uphill and athletic turn to find yourself at the foot of an eight-metre “short ladder” ladder. Continue on an upward crossing on the right, narrow and gaseous turns, before reaching a small platform. Go down slightly to go back to the “crossing of the Ally”, passing a small overhang that ends on a small slab.
This is followed by a crossing to the right and a final vertical jump that ends the via ferrata des Monts. For the return, a 20-minute walk on the path to the Tines Gorges car park.
