Nunayak presents: Via Ferrata in the Haute-Savoie Region
Did you ever think to be an alpinist one day but never dare to pursue your secret dream? Well, the via ferrata will help you achieve your dream!
Via Ferrata in the French Alps in Samoëns in the Mont-Blanc Region !
The Via Ferrata is an activity between hiking and climbing. It is a great opportunity if you want to test your limits since the vertiginous walls are the playground to ascend the mountain, which is at first an inaccessible area for pedestrians. The equipment on the wall is permanent and helps adventurers to evolve easily on the course.
The “Via Ferrata du Mont” is located over the Tines Gorges in the Giffre Valley.
"Climb and contemplate"
Via ferrata rates in the Haute-Savoie Region
The “via ferrata du Mont” starts with an easy and ascending path, along the cliff.
You’ll quickly arrive on a grassy platform called “la vire de l’ours” at the bottom of a cave.
You’ll then climb on a spur, then continue vertically for about ten meters towards “the passage de la barme aux Corbes”. From there, you’ll continue on the cliff and cross an overhang “La dalle du paresseux”. There is, if necessary, a first escape route to the downhill path.
You’ll keep going on by a very beautiful crossing slightly ascending and very gaseous “la Becque”.
You’ll then go down slightly across, around an aerial rocky spur that gives access to the “Ou Izès footbridge” of about fifteen meters high that allows you to cross valley.
Continue on a steep, uphill and athletic turn to find yourself at the bottom of an eight-metre “short ladder”. Continue on an upward crossing on the right, narrow and gaseous turns, before reaching a small platform. Go down slightly to go back to the “crossing of the Ally”, passing a small overhang that ends on a small slab.
This is followed by crossing on the right and a final vertical jump that ends the “via ferrata du Mont”. A 20-minute walk will be necessary to come back to the Tines Gorges car park.
