Introduction to caving in the French Alps in Samoëns in the Mont-Blanc Region​


Caving allows you to discover what is hidden under the mountains by visiting the underground galleries of the Haute-Savoie Region. Discover caving through natural slides, galleries, handrails, chasms and underground rivers…

We propose you introductions to caving to discover the caves of Balme, the underground river of Diau (Thorens Glière), the cave of Megevette but also vertical caving in a large Alpine abyss at -100m underground…

Caving is also the team spirit and adventure that you will share with a guide who will show you the beauty and generosity of nature of the Haute-Savoie Region.

Caving information

To bring

– Backpack
– Old tracksuits
– Old jacket
– Warm sweater
– Hiking boots or lace-up shoes
– A bottle of water (1L)
– Snack bar depending on the duration of the activity.
– Gloves (for vertical caving)

The rest of the necessary equipment will be provided by our guides (wetsuit, helmet, headlamp, harness, ropes…)



1 – Put on old clothes

2 – Please arrive 5 min before the activity starts at the meeting point.

3 – Our guides will equip you and make a little briefing before going.

4 – You’ll then be able to go !

5 – At the end,  our guides will collect the equipment that was given to you.
