L’expérience hydrospeed

Haut-Giffre

Le Giffre, rivière de Haute-Savoie, prend sa source dans le Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval, merveille naturelle de notre vallée. Il serpente à travers les villages et est un fabuleux moyen de se déplacer. Attrapez votre flotteur en mousse, enfilez votre combinaison renforcée et vos palmes puis laissez-vous guider par un moniteur diplômé (promis ils sont compétents). Vous pourrez raconter à tout le monde que vous avez nagé en eau-vive !

Le départ se fera de notre base à Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval. Un embarquement privé vous attend, pas mal non ? Après vous être équipé et après avoir participé au briefing sur les consignes de sécurité, on vous laisse partir. Accompagné, bien évidemment. On a le devoir de vous ramener tout de même.

Vous allez apprendre une nouvelle manière de surfer sur des vagues : sensations garanties !

Let yourself be carried away by the river!

Hydrospeed in the French Alps in Samoëns on the Giffre River, in the Mont-Blanc region !

Swimming in the rapids is a funny way to understand and to demystify the river. To practice hydrospeed, you will be given palms, an amphibious float in foam, a helmet, and a reinforced wetsuit. Your guide will tell you how to maneuver in the rapids to find your way. Your fear to fall into the water is gone then…

Swimming in the river won’t scare you since you will be an expert after a hydrospeed session !

This hydrospeed course takes place on the Dranse river, which takes its source in the Portes du Soleil area and flows into the Geneva Lake. It digs its bed through huge blocks that make its reputation as a technical river. This hydrospeed course is the most committed in Haute Savoie. The first kilometer is designed to test the group (reactivity, safety and swimming capacities). This section of the Dranse river is reserved for those who are looking for a sporting route.

Hydrospeed on the Giffre River

The Giffre River is located in the Haute-Savoie Region and more precisely in the Samoëns Valley. It takes its sources in the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval (classified « national park » as a natural reserve). The Giffre River flows in the very heart of an exceptional Valley that is surrounded by an incredible ancient geology.

You’ll get to know the Tines Gorges, which are a 40-meter deep canyon in which only rafting and other white-water sports can access this spot.

So, let’s get started with Nunayak !

Requirements

Be healthy and know how to swim
Wear a swimwear and bring a towel
Be strong enough to be able to put a reinforced wetsuit on your own
Have read and accepted the rules
Be happy, smiley and excited !

Course

1 – Please arrive 15 min before the activity starts at our rafting base at Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval

2 – Our guides will equip you and make a little briefing before going out

3 – You’ll then be able to go on the river for an unforgetable moment !

4 – Our Nunabus will pick you back up to our base

5 – Our guides will collect the equipment that was given to you

6 – Why not drinking a cold beverage at Nunabar after your session?
